FERPA Compliance Statement

This FERPA Educational Use Addendum applies to schools, educators, and institutions (“Educational Institutions”) using AnatomyGO as an instructional or learning resource.

 

Body Scientific International, LLC acts as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest, as that term is defined under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), when providing services to Educational Institutions.

 

AnatomyGO may collect limited student information necessary to provide educational services, such as student name, email address, class affiliation, login credentials, usage data, and progress-related information. This information is used solely to deliver educational functionality and is not used for advertising or commercial profiling.

 

Student data is not sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties except as necessary to provide the services, comply with legal obligations, or as directed by the Educational Institution. Body Scientific maintains reasonable safeguards to protect student information and limits access to authorized personnel only.

 

Educational Institutions retain control over student data and may request access, correction, or deletion of student records in accordance with FERPA. Upon termination of an institutional relationship, Body Scientific will delete or return student data upon request, subject to legal retention requirements.
